Krkonoše are the highest mountain range in the Czech Republic, with its highest peak being Sněžka. This popular tourist destination, guarded by the legendary Krakonoš, offers diverse landscapes including glacial valleys, waterfalls (such as Pančavský vodopád), and unique arctic-alpine tundra. The mountains are divided into the Western and Eastern Krkonoše and are protected as Krkonošský národní park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In addition to hiking and skiing, Krkonoše is a watershed between the North and Baltic Seas and the source of many rivers.Wikipedia
