Malostranská beseda is a historic building in the heart of Malá Strana, originally Prague’s third town hall. Its appearance evolved from Gothic through Renaissance to Baroque styles, with the most significant reconstruction taking place between 1617-1622. The building has a rich history – the Bohemian Confession was written here in 1575. Today, it serves as a cultural center with a concert hall and restaurant, and is accessible as part of the Royal Route. Extensive reconstruction between 2006-2009 restored the towers and saved the Renaissance roof truss. The building is protected as a cultural monument and, from July 2024, also as a national monument.
