Masarykovo náměstí is the heart of Třeboň, surrounded by Renaissance and Baroque houses with arcades, many of which are listed as historical monuments. The square originated around an old trail and is dominated by the Baroque Mariánský sloup and a Renaissance fountain. Nearby you’ll find Třeboňský zámek, Stará radnice (now a museum and exhibition hall), and the Beseda cultural centre. The square has a rich history, from visits by President Masaryk to the occupation year of 1968 and commemorations of Václav Havel. Two stops of the “Třeboňský vláček” make it easy to explore.Wikipedia
