Pardubice, located in Eastern Bohemia approximately 100 km from Prague, is a significant university and industrial center with a rich history. First mentioned in 1295, it flourished under the Lords of Pernštejn and with the arrival of the railway in the 19th century. Today, the city is best known for the Velká pardubická steeplechase, the Zlatá přilba motorcycle speedway race, and its gingerbread production, as well as its chemical and engineering industries, represented by companies such as Synthesia and Paramo. Krásné klidné město, cenově velmi dostupné také skvělá poloha, kousek do Prahy tak také ne úplně vlakem časově daleko do Olomouce, Brna a Ostravy. Je skvělé, že mají otevřené turistické centrum velmi dobře zásobené originálními suvenýry a perníčky i o víkendu.

Krásné a klidné město s mnoha památkami. Skoro každý den pořádají nějakou akci, jak na hlavní třídě tak v v okolí zámku a v parku.Také v okolí Pardubic mnoho památek a zajímavostí.
