Hrochův Týnec is a town in the Czech Republic, located eight kilometers east of Chrudim. Its history dates back to the 13th century, and it has had town rights and a coat of arms since 1554. Shaped by changing ownership, including the Lords of Lobkowitz and Schlechta, the town developed through trade and agriculture. In the 19th century, sugar factories and railway construction boosted its growth, while the 20th century saw radical interventions in the town’s appearance.
