The Comenius-Denkmal in Fulnek commemorates Johann Amos Comenius, who served as Bishop of the Moravian Church (Brüder-Unität) here from 1618-1621. The museum and memorial, established in 1954, document his life and work before he was forced to flee after the Battle of White Mountain. Since 1962, the site has been a National Cultural Monument of the Czech Republic and houses a collection of images, videos, and audio recordings.
